“Do you have what it takes to be a Starfleet officer?”

That’s the question posed by this new camp for Trekkies called the Starfleet Academy Experience, slated to launch in May 2016.

“Debuting as part of Star Trek’s 50th Anniversary celebration, the all-new touring interactive exhibit, the Starfleet Academy Experience, will immerse cadets in a first-of-its-kind ‘Trek Tech’ environment,” reads the site’s statement. “Following a student orientation, cadets will complete science, engineering, medical and command courses before graduating from Starfleet Academy and receiving their commissioning in Starfleet.”

How long will it take you to go from Average Joe to Starfleet Stud? About an hour, in which you might also be able to conquer such feats as beating the Kobayashi Maru test and piloting a starship from an active bridge.

The Starfleet Academy Experience launches at the Canada Aviation and Space Museum in Ottawa, Canada, on “star date 052016” or May 20, 2016. It’s part of a world tour, so if you can’t make it to Ottawa by September 2016, when the exhibition closes there, it will move on somewhere hopefully closer to Seattle.

You can follow hashtag #StarfleetAcademy and @AvSpaceMuseum for more details. Oh, and live long and prosper.
