It’s only April, but seriously, if you’re looking to go as Batman, Halloween is solved.

This 21-year-old prop maker and novice industrial design student, Gordon Jackson, has made a “low-budget” Batsuit for around $2,000 that actually withstands attacks, even knives and pipes.

How did he do it? Via a Kickstarter campaign, he says it took about three months of design work and two months to build the replica. It weighs about 25 pounds and is made of Kevlar, quarter-inch-thick Kydex plating and foam. While it protects Jackson from his friends pummeling him on a rooftop, it also looks pretty easy to move around in, as he demonstrates with extended displays of marital arts and an attempt to do the splits.
