Another Techstars Seattle grad is raising money.

Innervate has reeled in a $1.3 million seed round from Trilogy Equity Partners, Founders Co-op, and angel investors like Rudy Gadre, T.A. McCann, Sarah Imbach, Mike Fischer, and others.

Innervate, which just graduated from Techstars Seattle 2015, helps build online communities and custom marketing for game developers hoping to profit from their fans.

“Our team is now focusing on how to help game developers build better relationships with their gamers through a suite of community and marketing tools,” said CEO Adam Lieb, who built his first online gaming community at age 11.

Some of Innervate’s early customers include Harebrained Schemes, the popular Seattle game studio started by veteran entrepreneur Jordan Weisman that has several Kickstarter successes. The company is using Innervate’s technology to build and grow their gamer community, particularly for customers that tend to stop playing after a few tries. Innervate helps the studio build targeted marketing campaigns and learn about individual fan behavior.

Innervate joins Matcherino as recent Techstars Seattle graduates to raise seed funding. Matcherino announced its $1.25 million round on Thursday — it’s similar to Innervate since both are in the gaming industry, but Matcherino is more focused on eSports.
