What do you do if you feel like you’ve been left out of the Best Animated Feature category for an Oscar? If you’re The Lego Movie director, you build it yourself.

Philip Lord took to Twitter to reveal his own Lego Oscar, with the message, “It’s okay. Made my own!”

According to NPR’s Oscar report, even they can’t believe the snub: “The extraordinarily popular and well-received The LEGO Movie failed to get a nomination for Best Animated Feature against Big Hero 6, The Boxtrolls, How To Train Your Dragon 2, Song Of The Sea, and The Tale Of Princess Kaguya. Gotta say: nothing against the other nominees, because I haven’t even seen all of them, but I can’t explain that one. At least they nominated the song, so I, for one, will soothe myself with 85 consecutive choruses of ‘Everything Is Awesome.’ ”

All told, it’s a good year to be a geek at the Oscars. Films The Imitation Game, about Alan Turing, who broke Germany’s Enigma Code during World War II, and The Theory of Everything, based on Stephen Hawking’s early lifewere nominated for Best Picture. The lead actors in both those films are also nominated, Benedict Cumberbatch and Eddie Redmayne.

In case you missed it, here’s the Lego trailer:
