Microsoft has dropped the Nokia branding from its line of Lumia smartphones, but it lives on with a new budget cell phone named the Nokia 215. The phone, which will retail starting at $29, comes in both single- and dual-SIM configurations, and sports a battery that supports up to 20 hours of talk time, or up to 29 days of standby time.

The phone, announced today, is capable of getting on the internet, and includes a number of apps, including an Opera Mini browser, Bing Search, Twitter, Facebook and Facebook Messenger.

It’s designed for emerging markets like India where cell phone users don’t want to shell out the hundreds of dollars it would take to pick up a smartphone. That’s a market that Nokia has historically dominated, and Microsoft seems keen on keeping up that revenue stream following its acquisition of the Finnish company last year. Maintaining a presence in that market is key for Microsoft, especially as Google promotes Android phones for the same purpose.
