vertafore333Vertafore, the Bothell-based maker of software for the insurance industry, today announced that it is acquiring Deerfield Beach, Florida-based QQ Solutions in a deal of undisclosed size.

All of QQ Solutions’ 65 employees will join Vertafore, which now employs nearly 1,500 people worldwide. The acquisition will expand Vertafore’s lineup of software tools for insurance agencies, including management and rating systems. It also gives Vertafore a stronger foothold in the markets of Florida and Texas.

“Vertafore has long been committed to providing world-class and innovative insurance
solutions,” said Vertafore CEO Jeff Hawn in a release. “The addition of QQ Solutions makes us the obvious choice for any agency looking for solutions to stay competitive.”

Hawn, who previously led Attachmate, was named CEO of Vertafore in April. The company employs about 480 people in the Seattle area. It is now owned by private equity firm TPG.
