Likely in the hopes of bringing her internet ways up to, ahem, speed, Hillary Clinton has hired a Google exec as her new chief technology officer.

That’s according to this report by the Washington Post. Stephanie Hannon, a director of product management at Google, was hired as CTO “to oversee her likely presidential campaign’s technology development and build new ways for Clinton to engage with voters, according to Democrats with knowledge of the move.”

WaPo adds that Hannon will work at Clinton’s New York campaign headquarters, where she will oversee Clinton’s technical staff as they work on her digital campaign presence, including her website and apps. They report that Hannon will be the first female CTO for a major presidential campaign.

Of course, Clinton has been recently under scrutiny for her less-than-orthodox email behaviors, aka the private server at her home. Perhaps this will help her better control her digital life? Here’s hoping.
