geekwork1The business community, educators, and politicians across the U.S. are pushing for STEM education. Countless articles implore schools to adopt STEM programs and highlight the importance of getting women and minorities involved. A bill mandating computer science education in schools passed the Washington State House after dozens of business leaders voiced their support and is awaiting action in the Senate.

With its major research university, vibrant tech sector, and strong philanthropic community Seattle is uniquely positioned to lead the STEM movement. The city’s Pacific Science Center wants to be a part of that initiative and it needs a new President & CEO to lead the charge.

“This is an opportunity to build on the institution’s rich history, while redefining the impact of a 21st century science center,” writes PSC in its post on GeekWork.
