After posting about what might become the greatest card game since Cards Against Humanity, Exploding Kittens, and watching their funding tick up faster than the National Debt, we thought it would be fun to check in a day later.

Wow: Day two reports more than $2 million in funding and 55,000 backers. And it shows no signs of slowing down.

In case you need a refresher, Exploding Kittens is a card game developed by Elan Lee (Xbox, ARGs), Matthew Inman (The Oatmeal) and Shane Small (Xbox, Marvel). The object of the game is avoid pulling the “Exploding Kitten” card, but there is a lot of strategy that can be applied along the way, such as using defuse cards, like kitty laser pointers, and attacking your opponents with “a thousand-year back hair.”
