Seattle-area companies have been known to go to great lengths to support the hometown Seahawks, but this tweet, sent out from Amazon’s primary Twitter account overnight, took it to a new level of humor, and subtlety.

No, the tweet didn’t mention the New England Patriots — the Seahawks’ opponent in the upcoming Super Bowl — but of course it was a reference to the NFL’s investigation into the Patriots over allegations that the team used underinflated footballs to achieve an advantage in its blowout win over the Indianapolis Colts.

We can only imagine what this is doing for sales of ball pumps on Amazon.com. Well played, Amazon. Well played.
