Star Wars hype is all around us, and even our digital assistants are getting in on the action. Amazon added some Star Wars trivia to its smart speaker, the Echo.
Alexa will now answer your Star Wars queries, like “What is the Jedi code?” and “What is the best Star Wars movie?” She’s also ready to provide Star Wars trivia; just say “Alexa, give me a Star Wars fact.” And if you’ve embraced the dark side, you can even ask Alexa to execute Order 66.
Alexa isn’t the only AI assistant getting in on the Star Wars fun; Siri will do some Yoda-like speak and Microsoft’s Cortana has supposedly seen the movies. But Alexa, with deep access to Amazon-owned IMDb, may be the best bet to get your Star Wars fix. Maybe she can even tell you the plot of the first three movies so you don’t have to rewatch them.
No word yet on whether Alexa has spoilers on The Force Awakens. I’m not going to be the one to ask her about them though; it looks like the movie is going to be worth seeing.
