Virginia may be made for lovers, but Seattle is apparently for Star Wars fans.

MyNorthwest.com reports today that the Emerald City is one of the leading U.S. markets when it comes to the number of Star Wars fans — and their unbridled enthusiasm for using Star Wars terms — on Match.com.

“The Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue area ranks No. 3 in the United States to date a male Star Wars fan,” reports MyNorthwest based on Match numbers. “The region also ranks No. 1 in terms of men and women who use Star Wars terms on their dating profiles.”

Of course, there is a gap in usage, more men working Star Wars terms into their dating profiles than women. However, another city that boasts a lot of female Star Wars fans is just a hop, skip and hours-long, sitting-in-a-Tacoma-traffic-jam away. Portland ranked No. 4 as the best city to find a female fan.

MyNorthwest points out a few other not-so-fun dating facts from Seattle — that women here drink more heavily than most in the U.S., supposedly to get through all those boring dates with all the male techies.

And while men claim that women have the odds in their favor, the numbers don’t tell the whole story. Remember this article from the female perspective on Amazon killing her sex life?

That said, most relationships start with some kind of shared interest. And if you love Star Wars would you really want to date someone who didn’t? Chances are in Seattle, you won’t have to.
