We already know a lot about Satya Nadella based on input from people who know him. The new Microsoft CEO is well-spoken but low-key, understands products at a deep level and is an aggressive business leader.

But Nadella’s Twitter feed reveals a little more about his personality. Granted, the 22-year Microsoft veteran has not tweeted since July 11, 2010. But still, it’s interesting to see what he was sharing with the world three-and-a-half years ago.

Nadella’s account, which was verified by Twitter today, shows a generous use of exclamation marks.

Also, it looks like Bing was supposed to have some type of social media product that competed with Twitter:

Finally, Nadella seems to like HTML5, watching cricket at home, reading G. V. Desani, and eating gyros:

Nadella’s follower count has skyrocketed in the past week amid rumblings of the CEO announcement and is currently past 30,000. Someone actually created a fake Nadella account — replacing the two “l’s” in his name with two upper-case “i’s” — that has since been suspended.

It will be interesting to see if Nadella starts using Twitter as a marketing tool now that he’s CEO of the Redmond software giant. Steve Ballmer, his predecessor, didn’t tweet all that much with the exception of an odd “secret” account. Meanwhile, Bill Gates — who will serve as Nadella’s technology advisor — is big on Twitter with nearly 15 million followers.

UPDATE: Nadella jumped into the Twitter universe this evening, saying he won’t go another four years without a Tweet. That said, we’re not expecting him to “unleash” on the social media platform quite like T-Mobile boss John Legere.
