walgreensmsftMicrosoft today debuted new functionality that allows OneDrive users to have their digital photos printed at Walgreens.

Part of a handful of new OneDrive photo updates announced Tuesday, the feature allows users to pick photos on their OneDrive.com account and have them printed at a nearby Walgreens in one hour.

Costco’s Photo Center allows something similar, giving people the ability to upload photos from OneDrive, Facebook, Instagram, DropBox and others, and then have them printed at their local Costco. But today’s update lets users have photos printed at Walgreens directly from OneDrive.com.

Microsoft also updated its OneDrive app for Xbox One, which will no longer require an Xbox Live Gold subscription later this month as part of the Xbox June update. Users will now be able to access the app by telling the Kinect, “Xbox, Go to OneDrive,” which will take you straight to your most recent photos. There’s also a new way to view photos grouped by month.
