Did you ever wonder what Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos would look like on the cover of a romance novel? Of course not. But now you know, thanks to this new Seattle Weekly cover illustration by Johnny Acurso.
The cover story is an in-depth look at Amazon Publishing, through the eyes of authors and others in the publishing industry. The story by Nina Shapiro is available here, and it’s a good read. As for the illustration, no doubt this is going into a frame somewhere at Amazon HQ.
Update: It’s actually a painting, and we’re told that the original has already sold to “an undisclosed recipient.” The artist tells the backstory of the cover in this post.
