Who figured a comedy made by the South Park guys released in 2004 would be so popular?

That’s exactly what’s happened since this Interview/North Korea/Sony hack love triangle. Amazon, Best Buy and Walmart are all sold out of the DVD for Team America: World Police.

As of this time, a quick search on Craiglist only found one ‘ronery’ copy in Gig Harbor. But it’s streaming on Netflix and there’s always iTunes, and for the love of God, who buys DVDs anymore?

Last week, several major theater chains said they would not show the film due to terrorist threats. Sony pulled it from release. But now, The Interview will stream today on YouTube and will be shown tomorrow in nearly 300 theaters nationwide–and the list keeps growing.

Now go forth and celebrate your freedom to stream silly comedies.
