iStock, the digital image company owned by Getty Images, today announced a series of changes in pricing that includes subscriptions and pay-as-you-go credits. The company said that high-resolution images will start at $8, with a single price per image now displayed. Meanwhile, high definition video will start at $48. The iStock collection includes more than seven million images, videos and music tracks.

“Creatives and other image users do not have to settle for a sea of commoditized sameness,” said Getty Images CEO Jonathan Klein in a press release. The company says the prices are cheaper than rival Shutterstock, noting in the release that the changes in pricing “will leave no room for ambiguity or indecision about the best place to source the right content at the right price.”
