Microsoft has removed a Bing image widget from its site following a lawsuit filed by Getty Images last week that accused Microsoft of copyright infringement. A Microsoft spokesman said: “We have temporarily removed the Bing Image Widget beta so we can take time to talk with Getty Images and better understand its concerns.” Getty was concerned that the widget allowed people to easily embed digital photographs onto their websites, even if they didn’t have the rights to copy them.
