geekwork1Earlier this year an interviewer asked WhitePages CEO Alex Algard how he finds and keeps talent.

“We’re so small and every employee makes such a big impact because of that ratio of relatively few employees compared to a very large audience,” he replied. “We just can’t over invest in keeping our employees happy.”

Algard also discussed the importance of creating a fun and collaborative work environment. Last year WhitePages gave GeekWire a tour of its remodeled offices, complete with a kegerator and hydraulic desks.

“I think our team is going to grow a lot over the next year,” Algard said.

That growth is already underway. WhitePages has several openings on GeekWork, GeekWire’s jobs site, including an Enterprise Account Manager position. This manager will be responsible for providing customer service to a portfolio of large enterprise accounts. Other responsibilities include working with marketing to drive revenue, negotiating contracts, and analyzing data to create trend reports.
