We’re looking forward to seeing more than 700 of you for the GeekWire Summit, the Pacific Northwest’s premier technology conference, taking place Thursday, Oct. 2 in downtown Seattle.

We’ve been working for months on this very special event, and we’ve got a lot of fun stuff in store, from in-depth fireside chats with industry leaders to fun parties.

If you’re attending the Summit, here’s what you need to know.

GeekWire Summit Location: Westin Seattle, 1900 5th Avenue.

Time: Registration opens at 8:00 a.m. Thursday Oct. 2, followed by welcome and introduction at 8:50 a.m., leading directly into our first session with former Wired editor and drone entrepreneur Chris Anderson. The day will conclude with a reception at the Westin, sponsored by the Technology Association of Oregon.

Agenda: We’ve lined up a full day of great content, featuring technology leaders from across the industry, including U.S. Chief Information Officer Steven VanRoekel, Zulily co-founder Mark Vadon, Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman and journalists Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher. The day will conclude with a fireside chat with the always-entertaining John Legere, CEO of T-Mobile. Check out the full schedule and read more about the speakers under the “speaker” and “agenda” tabs here.

We’ve also sprinkled coffee and smoothie breaks throughout the day to keep the energy flowing.

Pre-Party at Zillow: The GeekWire Summit activities actually begin the night before the event, at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday Oct. 1, with a pre-Summit networking reception at Zillow’s headquarters in downtown Seattle, 1301 Second Avenue, Floor 31. This event is open to all GeekWire Summit attendees. It’s a great chance to connect with fellow attendees and also some of our speakers in advance of the Summit, with complimentary food and drink.
