One of our favorite events of the year — The GeekWire Awards — is coming up on May 8th. Don’t miss out, as early-bird ticket rates end Friday. Tickets here.
A sold out crowd is expected for this annual tradition, with more than 800 geeks, do-ers, innovators, entrepreneurs and other members of the Pacific Northwest technology community descending on the wonderful Experience Music Project in Seattle.
We’ll celebrate the very best of the tech community, recognizing the most innovative people, products and companies in 13 categories, ranging from Next Tech Titan to Startup of the Year to Geekiest Office Space.
The nomination period ends today, so make sure to submit your top picks. (Note: The number of nominations does not impact the judging process. One nomination is as good as 100).
We’ll open up community voting, starting the week of April 15.
The awards, presented this year by Wave Business Solutions, are now in their sixth year.
They were originally started by Seattle entrepreneur Marcelo Calbucci to draw attention to the amazing innovations occurring in the startup community.
Past winners have included Zillow co-founder Rich Barton; PopCap Gams; HasOffers, Redfin, Tableau Software and many others.
Don’t snooze. Make sure to get those tickets today before prices go up, and grab a group discount if you’ve got your whole team coming out to celebrate with us!
Also, a big thanks to Filter, Avalara, Nytec, HasOffers, Perkins Coie, Moz, Vertafore, Ticketmaster, Prontingent, DoubleDown, Kibble & Prentice and Bader Martin.
