With marijuana now legal to purchase in Colorado — Washington will enact a similar law later this year — anyone above the age of 18 can obtain cannabis.

However, many may not know the differences between various strains, and that’s exactly where a Seattle-based company wants to help. 

Leafly just revamped its mobile app, one that is essentially a Yelp for marijuana strains. It offers reviews for 650 different types of cannabis and thousands of dispensaries. The app, available on iOS and Android, also lets users filter by effects, medical uses and flavor. In addition, the update features a new “Learn” section that includes marijuana news and culture content.

Leafly, founded in 2010, was acquired two years ago by Privateer Holdings Inc., a Seattle company that reeled in $7 million in a series A round this past July
