Mobile analytics platform App Annie announced today that it now supports apps that run on Windows Phones and Windows 8 tablets that users purchase through the Windows Store and Windows Phone Store. Developers will now be able to track how their apps are performing using the company’s analytics tools, as well as track each store’s top charts.

Users will be able to see historical data for where apps have been ranked in the charts, and track their daily ranking across all of the different regional app stores Microsoft operates, in the same way that people can view stats from the Google Play Store and iOS App Store.

It’s a positive sign for Microsoft’s app ecosystems, especially as the company moves towards unifying its digital software marketplaces with the launch of Windows 10. App Annie is one of the leading providers of app analytics information, and their support of Microsoft’s platform will provide developers with more insight than they previously had available.
