If your idea of a fun fall Friday evening is to curl up in front of a computer with a warm drink and go Internet window-shopping on Amazon, bad news: Amazon wish lists have been experiencing technical difficulties since around 7:00 PM Pacific.
Rest easy, Amazon (probably) didn’t delete your wish lists. At least, not just your wish lists, anyway. If you’re having trouble viewing or adding to your Amazon wish lists tonight, you’re not alone. Many distraught Friday night Amazon shoppers took to Twitter to share their frustrations:
@amazon my wishlist is gone??! Did something happen? How do I get it back?

Wish lists were inaccessible across the site, on product pages, the home page, and even the main wish list page:
It’s unlikely that Friday’s down time is related to Amazon’s Wednesday rollout of Twitter integration for wish lists, although the timing is an interesting coincidence.
As of 9:30 PM Pacific, some spotty wish list functionality appears to have returned, and I can confirm that my wish lists seem to have come through the issue unscathed.
Phew!
