radiologoOne of the best parts our job each week is putting together the GeekWire radio show. The show airs every Saturday at 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. as part of the great weekend lineup on 97.3 KIRO-FM in the Seattle region, with a loyal podcast following, as well.

We originally started doing this on our own in my basement, so it has been especially fun to see it reach a broad audience on the air and online. And today we’re pleased to announce another new step for the show.

Our next GeekWire Meetup — the evening of Thursday, April 11 at the HUB Seattle in Pioneer Square — will feature the GeekWire Radio show live on stage for the first time, and recorded for broadcast that weekend. We’re very excited about this — we’ve got a ton of fun content in the works — and we’d like to invite you to join us as a meetup attendee and audience member.

Tickets are available here or below, and admission includes food and drink. Doors open at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 6:30 p.m.

The show will feature special guests and live versions of favorite features, including Name that Tech Tune and the App of the Week, with plenty of audience participation (and prizes). Stay tuned for more details, including a public process to select the App of the Week, which will be presented on stage by the app’s developer.

Thanks to our meetup sponsor Outlook.com, and thanks as well to our partners at KIRO Radio for their support. Get your tickets below, and looking forward to seeing you in the audience on April 11!
