StartupDay_2013_200x225 copyWant to showcase your startup to some of the region’s top angel investors, venture capitalists, entrepreneurs and all-around geeks?

Of course, you do.  And that’s the opportunity that we’re excited to announce as part of our annual Startup Day event, taking place October 25th at the Showbox Sodo in Seattle.

As in year’s past, we’ll have some fantastic speakers coming out to share insights about their personal entrepreneurial voyages, including Redfin CEO Glenn Kelman, RivalIQ founder T.A. McCann and SquareHub CEO Dave Cotter. (Stay tuned for more speakers).

But one of the cool new things we’ve added this year is what we’re dubbing the Startup Demo Zone, a presentation area where a select group of 25 startup companies will get the chance to demo their products and talk to investors about why their idea could change the world.

The Demo Zone is available to qualifying startups (no service providers; no companies older than five years; and GeekWire ultimately reserves the right to determine eligibility for this portion of the event).

In addition to getting a presentation table throughout the event, the $550 price includes a ticket to Startup Day (including the Battle of the Geek Bands after party) and a one-on-one meeting with an angel investor or VC. In addition, three lucky companies from the Demo Zone will be chosen to present live on stage to our investor panel consisting of Frank Artale of Ignition; Greg Gottesman of Madrona and Seattle super angels, Geoff Entress and Rudy Gadre. The investors will critique each 3-minute pitch, offer direct feedback and pick a winner on-stage. (Last year’s winner, BuildersCloud, even walked away with a personal check from Artale and went on to raise more money). As an added bonus, we’ll feature the three finalists on GeekWire later in the year as part of our popular Startup Spotlight feature.

The Demo Zone is limited to just 25 companies, so make sure to sign up today before slots fill up. Details here, and below.
