While The Internship may have showcased some truths about Google, one thing it didn’t bring up is just how much those interns get paid. And, guess what? They may be making more than you.
As it turns out, Google interns make an average of $6,100 a month, according to a report by Glassdoor. That means a summer of productive work for the internet giant will net people working as Software Engineer Interns (the highest paid intern position) around $20,000 before taxes.
According to the report, Amazon Software Development Engineer interns are in a similar financial situation, with an average base pay of over $5500.
But the very best internship is at Microsoft, where research interns pull down a very impressive $7,050 per month. Not bad, huh?
