cloudabilityCloudability, a Portland upstart that helps companies get a better handle on how much they are spending across various cloud computing services, was just named one of the top 15 best young companies to work for by The Wharton School and workplace design firm Turnstone.

Companies, which had to be no more than 10 years old and employ fewer than 100, were graded on four categories: business goals/societal impact; outstanding leadership; positive culture / workspace design; and success potential. Startups were not able to nominate themselves.

Cloudability, which went through incubators like PIE, Portland Seed Fund, TechStars and 500 startups, raised $8.7 million in July 2012 in a round series A financing round led by The Foundry Group. It’s one of many up-and-coming startups from the Portland area, where VC money is definitely flowing and is a good place to be for both entrepreneurs and software engineers.

Cloudability was the only Northwest-based startup to make the list. Learn more about the company with this video:
