nintendoNintendo may appear to be lost in the midst of the excitement surrounding the Xbox One and Playstation 4, but investors still seem optimistic about the company’s future.

Nintendo’s stock it a 2-year high this week, thanks to exclusive titles like Animal Crossing and speculation that China may lift its 13-year ban on consoles.

Animal Crossing was the second best-selling game in June according to the latest numbers from NPD. Nintendo also had two other titles — Donkey Kong Country Returns and Luigi’s Mansion — in the top 10. In addition, company’s 3DS handheld console was the top-selling platform across hardware and portables for the second straight month.

So while the Wii U console struggles to gain popularity, it appears investors still think highly of the Japanese company thanks to great games, the success of the 3DS and a potential new customer base in China.
