Microsoft announced today that its BUILD developer conference will be returning to San Francisco’s Moscone Center from April 2-4 next year. Tickets to the event will cost $2095, and will go on sale starting on January 14 at 9 a.m.

Apart from delivering news about Windows (8 Phone, RT, etc.), the conference could be an opportunity for a new CEO to introduce himself or herself to Windows developers, and help drum up support for Microsoft’s next version of its operating system, which is rumored to come with a whole host of new changes.

This past year, the company held its developer conference in late June, shortly after Apple’s own Worldwide Developer Conference.
