Welcome to our live tournament thread at the second annual GeekWire Ping-Pong & Anniversary Bash. We’ll be updating this page throughout the evening with tournament results, photos and everything else awesome going on tonight at the Showbox SODO.

Here’s a live Twitter feed from tonight:

3:50 P.M. — Our tournament players are starting to roll into the Showbox SODO with about 30 minutes until the we get things started. We are expecting more than 600 players gunning for the first place ping-pong and foosball prizes.

And while the main events are the intense tournaments, we’ve also got an array of activities and prizes from our sponsors, plus great food and drink.

Here are a few early shots of the action. Can’t wait to get this going!

John McEnroe — er, Cook — warming up.
The foosball table is ready to go.
Yes we’ve got beer pong.
A nice prize for our champion.
FILTER’s Tron-themed area.

GeekWire’s Todd Bishop warming up.
WhitePages is hiding these ping pong balls around the Showbox. Find them and win a prize!

UPDATE, 5:50 P.M. — First round matches for each bracket — intermediate ping-pong, expert ping-pong and foosball — are all completed.

GeekWire’s John Cook came out dressed in his John McEnroe garb and was victorious in his first round match against Will Carter from Flowroute.

The food is also out in full force — juicy burgers, tender pork sliders and a whole lot of other great grub.

Check back for another update to find out who’s moving on.
