Trending: Amazon and Seattle’s NBA dreams: Steve Ballmer on the city’s prospects for bringing back the Sonics

membergiftThe holiday season is here, and we know that many of you are still looking for gifts for the special people in your lives. And we’ve got a suggestion for the most special people of all — the geeks on your list: Get them a 2014 GeekWire Membership.

Our GeekWire Membership program, now entering its second year, offers an annual pass that provides VIP access to GeekWire’s popular events in the Seattle region, plus special perks, member discounts and, of course, a secret decoder keyring just for members.

It’s the perfect gift to give to startuppers, tech enthusiasts, job seekers, or anyone else who wants become more involved with the Pacific Northwest tech community, and it’s also a great way to support GeekWire at the same time.

Check out all the different membership levels and details here, and then click through to purchase a membership at any level. If you purchase a membership as a gift, just note the recipient’s details in the designated field when you check out, and also let us know if you’d like us to email you a printable certificate to put in a card. (The member will pick up their keyring at the first event they attend.)

super-galactic55If you go for a Super Pass, the member will receive extras such as access to a swanky members-only private party during the summer, and special status as a judge for the 2014 GeekWire Awards. And we’re always looking for extra perks to deliver to our Super Geeks. At GeekWire Sounders Day this year, for example, these members were able to watch from a private suite at CenturyLink field.

New this year: Our new Galactic Pass is fully transferrable for individual events. This is designed for companies who want to share a Super Pass (or a set of them) among different employees depending on who is best suited to attend different events during the year. It’s also great for members who want to give their pass to a friend or colleague if they aren’t able to attend a particular event.

We launched our 2014 membership drive a few weeks ago, and we’ve been getting a big response from new and renewing members. Now is a great time to pick up a membership the geek on your list, or yourself — or both!
