4_SquareHub_screenshot_appsmenu_iPhone5SquareHub, the family networking app, has launched its new Family Sharing feature on Android, which will allow users of its family-based social network to share content from the app outside of just their nuclear family.

The Seattle-based company announced Family Sharing last month, but at that time, it could only be reached through the SquareHub iPhone app. The new feature allows users to send a piece of content within SquareHub to someone outside of the network, and allows people who don’t already have the app to respond via email, without needing to sign up for a SquareHub account. Of course, if they do have an account, they’ll be able to access the content within the app.

In addition, SquareHub also launched a fresh redesign for its iOS app, bringing that in line with design principles in iOS 7.

“SquareHub for iOS 7 introduces many subtle, yet elegant UI changes, such as borderless buttons, translucent bars, and leverages more of the screen to view messages, pictures, to-do’s, maps for checking in, and lists of family activities,” CEO Dave Cotter said in a press release.

SquareHub has now also released a version of its app into the Amazon Appstore for Android. While it isn’t yet available on Amazon’s tablets, Cotter says that Kindle Fire users can look forward to getting the social networking app in 2014.

SquareHub can be downloaded from the Google Play Store, Amazon Appstore, and iOS App Store.
