If you want a white Xbox One — the rare console that only Microsoft employees received — you’ll need to pay more than $11,000 for it.
That money, though, is going toward a good cause. Microsoft gave custom white Xbox One’s to every employee who worked on the console, and now Larry Hryb — a.k.a. Major Nelson — is selling his on eBay for charity. Proceeds will go to the Wounded Warrior Project, a group that helps injured service members.
The highest bid is currently at $11,300 with the auction ending tonight at at 5:42 p.m. PT. The winner will receive the white Xbox One, one year of Xbox Live, and each of Microsoft’s first-party launch games (Forza Motorsport 5, Ryse: Son of Rome, Dead Rising 3, Killer Instinct, Project Spark and Crimson Dragon).
The black Xbox One goes on sale to the public this Friday, Nov. 22. I guess if you really want a white Xbox One but don’t have thousands of dollars to give to charity, spray paint might work.
