Already available on the iPhone and iPod touch, today Amazon launched its free Cloud Player app for the iPad and iPad mini.

“Our goal is to make Cloud Player the most widely compatible cloud playback solution available, giving our customers the ability to buy their music once and enjoy it everywhere,” Steve Boom, VP of Digital Music, said in a press release.

Users can now stream their music on Amazon’s cloud via the iPad and iPad mini, as well as create playlists.

Earlier this month, Amazon brought its Cloud Player music service to vehicles equipped with Ford Sync AppLink, including new Mustangs, Fusions and F-150s. That means Amazon Cloud Player users with an Android phone can now connect their app to Ford Sync, pulling up their entire music collection.
