All, I can say is wow!
First Round Capital, the New York and Philadelphia-based venture capital firm, certainly set the bar high in terms of its holiday greeting this year. In one of the more ambitious displays we’ve seen, the firm featured members (and in some cases entire teams) of each of its portfolio companies lip-syncing rousing renditions of both Call Me Maybe and Gangnam Style.
The result, a little ditty dubbed: Call Me First Round Style.
After talking about “VC dollars flowing” — with the team from VigLink tossing cash in the air — and term sheets — with the team from Funder’s Club tossing papers in the air — they head into the chorus.
“Hey, I just met you, and this is crazy. But I’m from First Round, so call me maybe.”
I wonder if we’ll ever see a Seattle VC firm will break out of the traditional holiday card mode, and attempt to produce its own viral video.
