Microsoft’s method for regaining its mojo in mobile may start with Molly Moon’s Homemade Ice Cream. And more specifically —  the flavor balsamic strawberry. Molly Moon’s, the legendary Seattle ice cream shop, gets a nice little plug in a new ad campaign for the Nokia Lumia 710.

“Oh, what’s the meaning of life you ask? Keep your friends close, and the way to discover the best balsamic strawberry ice cream even closer,” the narrator of the ad says as a user of the device discover’s Molly Moon’s.

If the ability to locate Molly Moon’s in Wallingford isn’t enough to entice customers to Windows Phone, maybe the price will get folks off the couch. The Nokia Lumia 710 is the same device that we wrote about earlier this week, you know the one that Costco is now selling for a penny and Walmart is giving away for free with a two-year contract through T-Mobile.

The Lumia 710, which normally sells for $50, marks Nokia’s return to the U.S. market with Windows Phone. (Read Todd Bishop’s review here.)
