If you ever wanted to visit the industrial-design aesthetic of 18th-century Europe and command some artillery and battleships, then some students from DigiPen Institute of Technology have just the game for you.

They even have zeppelins.

The independent project, dubbed Touch Tactics, is a turn-based online strategy game that will leverage Apple’s Game Center. It will be developerd for iOS, and they’ve set up a Kickstarter campaign page explaining its development and features in more detail for interested contributors. They’re looking to raise $15K by June 22.

The Touch Tactics development team includes Erik Foss, Dane Curbow and Bret Linne. You can learn more about the fellas and see a trailer for the game here.

They say that Touch Tactics will boast some “impressive 3D visuals” and be available on the App Store by early next year. “This isn’t a student game done through the school,” Foss wrote to us. “It’s the first release from what we hope will become a uniquely creative start-up studio.”
