WinEstimator, a 20-year-old maker of cost modeling software for the construction industry, has been acquired in a deal of undisclosed size by Sunnyvale, California-based Trimble. Based in Kent, WinEstimator boasts more than 5,000 customers across the globe.

Financial terms were not disclosed, but the company’s products and 25 staffers will be integrated with Trimble’s Meridian Systems subsidiary

“The acquisition will allow Meridian to provide a broader range of solutions to general contractors and building owners executing projects around the globe,” said Geene Alhady, general manager of Meridian Systems.
