Zillow CEO Spencer Rascoff has a lot on his plate these days, including positioning the Seattle online real estate company for an initial public offering. But the 35-year-old Internet executive still has time for his old cronies at Hotwire.com, the online travel service that he co-founded in 1999. Rascoff just joined the board of ezRez, an 8-year-old online travel company whose executive team includes several former Hotwire staffers.

Rascoff confirmed that he recently landed on the board, adding that he’s always been impressed with eZRez. He declined to go into further detail, citing Zillow’s “quiet period” during the IPO process.

eZRez, which raised $15 million from Azure Capital Partners and Canaan Partners in 2007, develops private label Web sites for companies like American Airlines and United Airlines. Its exec team includes former Hotwire employees John Swanciger and Owen Tran.

EzRez is not the only board seat Rascoff has assumed recently, also taking a director spot at the online hotel service Room 77. And Rascoff will soon be getting another one.

According to the company’s recent IPO filing, Rascoff will become a member of the Zillow board just prior to the close of the public offering.
