Get ready shoppers. Gilt Groupe today is launching its Gilt City private sale service in Seattle, one of four new cities that the luxury online retailer is setting up in the U.S. With the launch, Gilt City is now available in 10 cities including Atlanta, New York, San Francisco and L.A.

Gilt City is starting in Seattle with a number of special offers, including a five-course meal at RN74; a five-course meal at Purple Cafe; classes at The Bar Method; and more.

“We are thrilled to provide Seattle with coveted experiences and exclusive offers that will help people explore and celebrate all of the wonderful things that define this great city,” said Gilt City President Nathan Richardson.  “It possesses the right mix of discerning customers and a rich assortment of local businesses that can support our members’ taste-maker lifestyles.”

Gilt City, which boasts 1.8 million weekly email subscribers, offers discounts on spas, restaurants and exclusive screenings at movies. It targets an upscale demographic, with 80 percent of the members having a household income of $75,000 or more.

The addition of the new cities comes two months after the Gilt Groupe raised $138 million in funding from Softbank, Matrix Partners, General Atlantic, Goldman Sachs, and others, money that the company said it would use to expand into new geographies. It is also unveiling a gourmet food store and a men’s online retail store.

It has raised more than $240 million since it was founded in 2007.
