I am a bit of hack when it comes to golf, but I still like to get on the links every so often. And now, here’s your chance to join me for a round of 18-holes at Bellevue’s Glendale Golf & Country Club.

On Monday, July 25, GeekWire is proudly serving as the media partner for the WTIA’s 16th Annual Golf Tournament.  It’s an all-day affair, and we’ll tee it off with mimosas at the GeekWire Chipping and Putting contest.

The WTIA is reprising their “Around the World in 18 Holes” theme, with each hole tied to a different region of the world. Beverages, food, and prizes match these themes, so look out for my drive after downing a shot of Jameson at the Ireland hole.

Set up a fast-paced best-ball tournament, this is probably the most fun I’ve ever had on a golf course.

Fun at the France-themed hole

Want to join the fun?

Here’s where I could use your help: GeekWire is putting together a foursome, and I need three more players (hackers) to join me on the team.

If you can (1) commit to the full day of festivities; (2) bring your golfing A-game; (3) fully embrace the fun factor of this one-of-a-kind tournament — please email me a brief paragraph as to why you’d be the best addition to Team GeekWire. (Caddyshack references and Phil Mickelson-meltdown remarks encouraged).

Thanks again to the WTIA for putting on this fun event, and we look forward to your geeky golf submissions.  Please send to john@geekwire.com and we’ll let you know who the dream team is later this week.
