It’s a new era for Whole Foods Market today, as Amazon takes control of the grocery chain, but we are also starting to get a peek at tweaks Amazon will make in the wake of the $13.7 billion acquisition.

Today more than 800 items under the 365 by Whole Foods in-house brand showed up on the AmazonFresh website. That includes everything from dairy items like eggs, cheese and butter to frozen meals and snacks. In addition to delivery through AmazonFresh, the Whole Foods items are available through the AmazonFresh Pickup locations.

Though it is just Day One for the newly minted Amazon-Whole Foods conglomerate, the changes are coming fast. Amazon has slashed prices on numerous items in Whole Foods stores, but not the popular hot bar. Amazon has also set up retail displays for the Amazon Echo and Echo Dot in Whole Foods stores around Seattle, under banners calling the Alexa-powered devices “Farm Fresh” and “Pick of the Season.”

These integrations, on both sides, are only just the beginning. Amazon has said it will continue to cut prices on more products going forward, in addition to other changes like Prime membership integration at checkout. Further integration with Whole Foods offerings, such as its meat and produce, could further bolster AmazonFresh.
