Even Greedo could offer a sly grin and a head nod at this one.

Playing off the famous “Han shot first” line that fans have used to defend Han Solo’s blasting of his bounty hunter nemesis in the original “Star Wars” movie, co-director Chris Miller signaled the start of filming on a new spinoff film for the franchise.

Miller tweeted a picture of the slate and added the words “Han First Shot” to let sci-fi geeks know that the film that will tell the story of a young Solo is off and running.

Miller is co-directing with Phil Lord. Actor Alden Ehrenreich will play the main character and Woody Harrelson is also on board for the film, which is shooting under the working title “Red Cup” and due in theaters in 2018.

Last week, an official title was revealed for Episode VIII of the main Star Wars saga. It will be called “The Last Jedi.”
