After a seven-month delay, Amazon appears determined to put its Treasure Truck to regular use — and customers appear more than happy to snap up the truck’s deals.
For the second straight weekend, the company on Sunday surprised customers in its hometown of Seattle with a bargain from the deal delivery vehicle: $10 for 24 long-stemmed roses, just in time for Valentine’s Day procrastinators.
This time the Treasure Truck parked at Westlake Plaza in downtown Seattle. The deal sold out in about an hour, about as much time as it took for the Treasure Truck’s supply of GoPro cameras to be snapped up a week earlier.
