Mike Davidson is leaving Twitter.

Davidson, the company’s vice president of design, said earlier this week that he’s leaving Twitter three years after joining the social media giant.

Before his stint at Twitter, the University of Washington grad spent five years at NBC News (previously MSNBC.com) in Seattle, where he most recently ran operations for Newsvine, a website that NBC acquired in 2007. Davidson, also an ESPN.com veteran who is well respected in the technology realm for his design chops, plans to move back to Seattle.

Recode noted that this marks yet another executive departure at Twitter, which has seen several top employees leave amid recent layoffs and a growth rate that has been cut in half over the past year. The company’s stock hit an all-time low after the market closed on Thursday.
