If you have 3D printer and happen to be a Dungeons & Dragons fan, this is fabulous news.

Per Tech Crunch, designer “Miguel Zavala has been modeling all of the D&D Monster Manual monsters in 3D and putting them up for all to download.” Plans for more than 40 figures are free to download via Zavala’s MakerBot Thingiverse page here.

“I love printing miniatures for my D&D game. I used to be a art major way back who modeled regularly. Now its just a fun hobby :-)” he writes on his site.

Printing gaming pieces right at home? That’s definitely one way to up your game. Enjoy.

Update: Zavala reached out to tell us that Wizards of the Coast requested his models be taken down from Thingiverse. However, he told us that “They asked that I simply move my stuff to Shapeways, a 3D-printing site that has a contract with Wizards of the Coast to publish and print fan art.”

He says you must create an account on Shapeways to get free models, but all his pieces are still available here.
