playstationvue43PlayStation Vue debuted earlier this year as a $50/month alternative to traditional cable packages. At today’s PlayStation E3 event, the company announced that the program would expand outside of its initial launch cities and brings a few a la carte options for live streaming.

A la carte options will include Showtime, Fox Soccer Plus and an exclusive channel from video game site Machinima at launch. Users will be able to stream live TV from those channels. The new a la carte options will be available next month.

The Vue program is also expanding outside the launch cities of Chicago, New York and Philadelphia. Tonight, Vue is available in San Francisco and Los Angeles as well.

PlayStation Vue’s closest competitor, Sling TV from Dish, costs considerably less at just $20 per month.
