Accelerite, a software developer for IT infrastructure, mobile and cloud solutions, has acquired Convirture, a unified management provider for virtualization and cloud environments.
By combining Convirture’s ConVirt technology and their own Rovius software, Accelerite will help ease customer’s troubles when dealing with multiple cloud environments. IDC found that about two thirds of enterprise companies will use two or more cloud service this year, so managing data between them could be a major pain point.
With the Convirture purchase, Accelerite has more than 350 employees at its branches in Bellevue, the Bay area, Southeast Asia and Australia. The company serves as the products division of Pune, India-based Persistent Systems.
Convirture CEO Arsalan Farooq will join the company as vice president of product and CTO Jaydeep Marfatia will take the role of cloud software architect. The terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
