pointmarc11Pointmarc, a 9-year-old digital analytics consulting firm whose clients include the NFL, T-Mobile, Costco and Disney, has been acquired by marketing agency Merkle in a deal of undisclosed size. Pointmarc, which is based in Bellevue, employs about 100 people.

“As a longstanding Adobe premier partner, Pointmarc has a proven track record of providing transformative analytics services to Fortune 500 companies via Adobe Marketing Cloud,” said Tony Sanders, a senior director of partner sales at Adobe. “We expect this new strategic partnership between Merkle and Pointmarc to greatly benefit our shared global clients.”

Pointmarc helps clients discover more from data, reducing costs along the way. For example, music service Rhapsody used Pointmarc to consolidate the tracking of more than 200 purchase paths, gaining new insights into how customers interact with the Rhapsody Web site.

The Pointmarc team will join Merkle’s Quantitative Marketing Group, which includes 450 experts in data and analytics.

Pointmarc president Kevin Woo, who previously worked at Razorfish and Microsoft, called the acquisition “strategic.”

“We can’t wait to collectively grow our leadership position in marketing analytics,” he said.

Pointmarch was founded by Arsenio Valdez, who previously worked at PriceWaterhouseCoopers and co-founded Allstudents.
